Oh Nana will be selected for the Nations Cup in January…Man Utd’s plan – Return of De Gea, who parted ways this summer, + offer a short-term contract?

It has been claimed that Manchester United may sign a short-term contract with David de Gea.

Britain’s Bein Sports reported on the 26th (Korean time), “Manchester United is considering renewing De Gea’s contract. Manchester United is considering signing Andre Onana, who is currently the starting goalkeeper, in case he is called up to the Africa Cup of Nations in January next year. “We can offer Gea a short-term contract. De Gea is currently without a team,” the report said.

De Gea left Atletico Madrid in 2011 and joined Manchester United. He immediately took over the starting position and maintained the undisputed number 1 position for a long time. Even until the 2019-20 season, De Gea’s status and performance remained the same. At the time, his position was so strong that he appeared in all 38 Premier League (PL) games.

But after that, his position began to shake little by little. After making several big and small mistakes, the possibility of recruiting a replacement or competitor was raised. Accordingly, players such as Dean Henderson joined the first team. Despite this, De Gea was still the starter.

Last season was no different. Coach Eric ten Haag also appointed De Gea as the starting player. This time, he played in all PL games. He recorded clean sheets in 17 of those games. He also saved Manchester United from danger by making a super save at a critical moment. But there were also some disappointing scenes.

De Gea’s contract expired last season. At first, more emphasis was placed on the possibility of remaining. There were also rumors that he, who is currently receiving the highest salary in the team, would sign a new contract under the condition of drastically reducing his amount. However, De Gea finally ended his time with Manchester United and took on a new challenge.

Instead, Manchester United recruited Onana as a replacement스포츠토토. Onana was coached by coach Ten Haag during her time at Ajax. Last season, he was playing for Inter Milan, but they reunited after being called by coach Ten Haag. He showed disappointing performance at the beginning of the season.

However, recently, he has been proving his skills little by little. In particular, in the third match of Group A of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) between Manchester United and Copenhagen held on the 25th, he saved a penalty kick right before the end of the game, contributing to the 1-0 victory.

The possibility of signing De Gea has nothing to do with Onana’s skills. Onana is likely to participate in the African Cup of Nations as a member of the Cameroon national soccer team in January next year. Manchester United’s backup goalkeeper resources include Altay Bindir and Tom Heaton. However, the plan is to bring in De Gea, who has been proven on the PL stage, to fill Onana’s void.
