KT, which improved to 4-3 with its third straight win, is tied for third place with Changwon LG and Anyang Chungkwanjang. They are half a game behind Ulsan Hyundai Mobis (5-3), who beat Seoul Samsung 77-69 earlier in the day to take sole possession of second place.

Gasworks (1-6), which lost its fourth straight game, languished in the bottom 10.

After taking a one-point lead in the first quarter, KT let Gasworks run away with the second quarter, including nine points from Anthony Moss, and went into halftime trailing 35-40. However, KT turned the tables in the third quarter, as Jung Sung-woo scored 13 points, including three 3-pointers, and Bass bombed the rim for 11 points to overwhelm GASCO, who scored just 14 points. KT, which entered the fourth quarter with a 67-54 lead, foreshadowed victory when Bass drained a three-pointer with four minutes left in regulation to make it 74-63. He also scored seven straight points to stun GASCO at 78-67 with three minutes to go.

Bass finished with 29 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. It was his first triple-double this season. Ha Yoon-ki also contributed 22 points and 10 rebounds. Jung Sung-woo added 18 points. Bass and Ha Yoon-ki will be boosted when Heo Hoon, who enlisted in the military in May last year, returns to the team after being discharged on May 15. Heo will make his comeback at home against Seoul SK as early as Nov. 18.

Gasworks was led by Samjosef Belangel with 19 points and Andrew Nicholson with 16 points.

Hyundai Mobis snapped a two-game losing streak at home, led by KBL oldest player Ham Ji-hoon with 18 points and nine assists and Kebe Aluma with 17 points and eight rebounds. Samsung, which has lost four straight despite Kofi Coburn’s 23 points and 10 rebounds, is ninth with a 2-6 record.
